Old Gold Mining Town Charm with Fantastic Mountain Views!

Downtown Buildings Cripple Creek

Downtown Cripple Creek

Cripple Creek is a historic gold mining boom town located southwest of Pikes Peak. The gold boom started in the 1890's and was over by the 1920's, but many of the charming old buildings from this era are still here. Period Victorian homes and old brick storefronts give Cripple Creek that old mountain town feel. By the 1990's Cripple Creek experienced a regrowth with the introduction of casino gambling.  Cripple Creek is also the county seat of Teller County.
