Victor is a historic gold mining town located southwest of Pikes Peak. The gold boom started in the 1890's and the boom was over by the 1920's, but many of the charming old buildings from this era are still here. Period Victorian homes and old brick storefronts give Victor that an old mountain town feel. Gold is still being mined in the area and the mine continues to be one of the major employers in the the area.
Victor has not seen the same changes as Cripple Creek and still retains all the character with many opportunities for preservation.
